Statistics Canada: 2021 Census Webinar Series webinar on July 20th

Following the upcoming Families, Households and Marital Status, Canadian Military Experience, and Income 2021 Census data release, Statistics Canada will be hosting a webinar presenting key results from the data on Wednesday, July 20th, 2022. The presentation will be followed by a Q&A with Statistics Canada officials. The webinar is being held in both English and French. New 2021 Census Data Release: Age, Sex at Birth, Gender, Type of Dwelling and Household Size

New data from the 2021 Census were released today. An updated version of the Census Profile is available for download from the Statistics Canada website, including data on Age, Sex at birth and Gender, as well as on Type of Dwelling and Household Size. New for the 2021 Census: StatCan is using Gender and not Sex at birth to disaggregate Male and Female population counts (designated as Male+ and Female+).

Statistics Canada: New Self-Learning Tool Available

As part of their Data Literacy training Initiative, Statistics Canada has released a new self-learning educational tool called Statistics: Power from Data. This tool contains a series of written modules, intended for students, teachers, or the general population, aimed at helping equip them with the knowledge needed to understand and make use of data in today's society.
