The ever so wonderful Sara Mayo, From Social Planning and Research Council Hamilton, with the help of a student has created the following list of local scale data in the Consortium Member's catalog.
Here is a preliminary copy of the requested Community Data Catalogue, containing information on approximately 30 selected data sources.
It is finally here, the Federal Government Open Data portal.  The license is not bad, not much community data but some, our friends at CIC have a number of potentially useful datasets.
