A household in core housing need is one whose dwelling is considered unsuitable, inadequate or unaffordable and whose income levels are such that they could not afford alternative suitable and adequate housing in their community.

The Demographic Status of Household dimension in this table is split across three files:

Demographic

  • Total - Aboriginal status of household
  •    Aboriginal household
  •    Non-Aboriginal household
  • Total- Immigrant status of household 
  •    Households with at least one member who is an immigrant
  •    Households with at least one member who is a Recent immigrant

  •    Visible Minority (at least one person)
  •    No member of household is Visible Minority
  •  South Asian household (at least one person)
  •  Chinese household (at least one person)
  •  Black household (at least one person)
  •  Filipino household (at least one person)
  •  Latin American household (at least one person)

Visible Minority Part 2

  • Total - Visible Minority status of household
  •    Visible Minority (at least one person)
  •    No member of household is Visible Minority
  •    Arab household (at least one person)
