Database/Data product: Composite Learning Index (CLI)

Data provider: Canadian Council on Learning (CCL)

Description: The Composite Learning Index (CLI) provides an annual measure of Canada's performance in the area of lifelong learning. The 2007 index is composed of 17 indicators based on 24 different measures that provide information about the many ways in which Canadians learn − in schools, in the home, at work, and in the community. The statistics are combined to produce a single score that reflects lifelong learning in Canada. Underlying data for the 24 measures are available from the CCL website. The model is shown in Appendix E.
