Canadians are spending differently, and those shifts are quietly reshaping local economies. The headline numbers rarely tell the full story—beneath them, consumers are still spending but doing so more deliberately, with clear trade-offs, category-by-category shifts and sharp regional differences that carry real signals for communities.

John Sombrito, Senior Account Executive, Business Development, Moneris Data Services, will present the latest Moneris transaction data on how and where Canadians are spending. Drawing on anonymized transaction data and fresh consumer sentiment research, John will explore which categories are rising and falling, how tourism is shifting dollars and what it all signals for the months ahead—early indicators organizations can use to validate priorities and make more informed decisions.

Date: Tuesday, October 13, 2026, 1:30 PM - 2:30 PM Eastern Time
