About the presenters:

Joseph Alves, Statistics Canada 
Joseph Alves has been working at Statistics Canada for nearly a decade. He started in Operations and quickly moved to electronic questionnaire development where he developed some of the largest Statistics Canada surveys. In April 2020, Joseph moved to the Statistical Geomatics Centre where he joined the Postal Code Unit.  One of the main projects that attracted him to that area was the modernization of the geocoding application for the Postal Code Conversion File (PCCF) and Postal Code by Federal Ridings File (PCFRF).  He has been working in this unit ever since under the tutelage of the veteran of that group, Brad Hawkes.

Gerald Morin, Statistics Canada 
Gerald Morin has a 20+ year career at Statistics Canada in various data-production and dissemination roles with the majority of time as a subject-matter expert in the field of Statistics Canada Geography and GIS, working extensively with data users on custom geographies.  Gerald is currently managing the Custom Data and Geography Production Team within Statistics Canada’s Statistical Information Service in Toronto.

Michael Ditor, Community Data Program  
Michael Ditor has worked as Program Coordinator and Analyst for the Community Data Program for the past 8 years. Over the last 20 years, he has worked on various knowledge-sharing and monitoring initiatives that focus on the creation and dissemination of indicators to track local trends and inform policy, with a pause taken to return to school for a Masters degree in Applied Science at École Polytechnique de Montréal.
