Webinar: A Brief Overview of Statistics Canada’s Health Data

Description:

This webinar will provide you with an overview of Statistics Canada's main health surveys and briefly demonstrate how to access health data on the Statistics Canada website. The webinar will focus on: The Canadian Community Health Survey (CCHS); the Canadian Health Measures Survey (CHMS), Vital Statistics, and the Canadian Survey on Disability (CSD). It will discuss each survey's methodology and will also highlight data products from each of these three popular surveys.

Webinar: Demonstration of the Gender, Diversity and Inclusion Statistics Hub

Description:

The Gender, Diversity and Inclusion Statistics Hub focuses on disaggregated data by gender and other identities to support evidence-based policy development and decision making. The hub is a centralized platform that enables users to easily access and analyze a wealth of statistical information, relevant to the evaluation of programs, policies and initiatives from a gender, diversity and inclusion perspective.

The goal of this presentation is to demonstrate how to access the hub and to provide a description of the hub’s functionalities. This presentation will also touch on the history of the hub, future development plans for the hub, and other Statistics Canada’s hubs on diverse populations.

Webinar: Retail E-commerce: The COVID-19 Experience

Description:

The COVID-19 pandemic has altered the Canadian retail sector. Consumers and retailers have come to rely on retail e-commerce due to temporary store closures, social distancing requirements and stay at home orders, in place throughout much of 2020.  This presentation explores the effects of COVID-19 on online retail sales from the perspectives of a consumer, a Canadian retailer and a foreign based retailer.
