Statistics Canada have released a new series of videos as part of their Data Literacy Training Initiative: "A new suite of training videos from the Data Literacy Training Initiative is now available.  Building on material already available in our learning catalogue, the new training addresses topics including data stewardship, stats 101, machine learning, and telling the data story."

In today's data-rich environment, understanding data is more important than ever. As Canada's national statistical organization, Statistics Canada is committed to sharing our expertise to help you and many other Canadians develop the knowledge and skills you need to understand and use data.

A new suite of training videos from the Data Literacy Training Initiative is now available.  Building on material already available in our learning catalogue, the new training addresses topics including data stewardship, stats 101, machine learning, and telling the data story.

Organized around a data journey that represents the key stages of the data process, these videos provide valuable information on the different steps and activities undertaken to produce meaningful insights from data. This includes information on how to collect, clean, explore, describe and understand the data, and – importantly – how to analyze the data and communicate the story they tell.
