Getting started
To view one of the interactive infographics, click on its image and it will pop up. Click the "x" at the top right to return to the infographics page.
Selecting a geography
Use the two dropdown menus at the top of the infographic to select the level of geography, then the specific geography you wish to view data for. The infographic will then auto-populate with the values for the geography you have chosen.
Saving your infographic
Several options are available for saving your infographic. To access them, click the "Download" button at the bottom right of the infographic.
Through the "Download" menu, you can save your infographic as a PNG image or as a PDF document.
If you wish to save the infographic to your computer while mainting its interactivity, you can save it as a Tableau Workbook (select "Current" for the version unless you are using an older version of Tableau/Tableau Reader). This will save the infographic as a .TWBX file, which you can open in Tableau Reader (or Tableau Desktop if you have it).
Tableau Reader is a free program (no account or registration is required) that allows you to view and interact with Tableau workbooks. It can be downloaded here. Once it is downloaded and installed, you can open the infographic by double-clicking the .TBWX file, or by opening Tableau Reader and clicking "File" > "Open" from the start page, then navigating to location of the .TBWX file and opening it.
Extracting data
You can also download the data from your infographic in Excel format. To do this click on the value for any of the variables, click the "Download" button (bottom right of the page), then select "Data" from the menu. This will open a new window displaying the data.
Go to the "Full data" tab, check the "Show all columns" box to display all variables, then click "Download all rows as a text file". This will save all the data displyed in the window as a .CSV file which can be opened in Excel.
