About the organization
ELIP forges partnerships across immigrant-serving organisations, governments and communities to address the unique, diverse needs of immigrants. The solutions ELIP develops are coordinated across agencies and communities, and the partners learn and create together in order to meet the needs of the people ELIP serves.
There are 80 Local Immigration Partnerships (LIPs) funded by Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) across the country. Together, LIPs make up a vital cross-Canada network assisting local communities to:
Integrate newcomer goals/needs into the community planning process;
Identify community-specific strategic priorities;
Implement a settlement strategy and action plans to improve newcomer outcomes.
