Data provider: Statistics Canada Product group: Data analysis and visualization tools Description: The Community Recovery Dashboard is a monitoring tool for medium and long term COVID-19 recovery. The dashboard uses data from a variety of sources, including the 2016 Census and the 2019 and 2020 Labour Force Surveys, to look at the state of geographic areas across Canada prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, in order to assess and compare their capacities for recovery from COVID-19's economic and health impacts. The dashboard allows you to view profiles of individual geographies across Canada, ranging in scale from national to neighbourhood-sized, as well as compare select indicators across geographies using interactive maps and charts. The indicators in the dashboard relate to seven different themes: demographics, employment, housing, commuting, place of work, income and collective dwellings. Instructional video: Notes: To open this dashboard, you will need Tableau Reader installed on your computer. Tableau Reader can be downloaded here. This is Version 3 of the Community Recovery Dashboard. This update features the following changes from Version 2: All seven levels of geography are now consolidated into a single tab for each theme, rather than being split between CTs and other levels of geography. Indicators can now be mapped and compared across geographies with bubble charts at all seven levels of geography. Maps now include a dropdown menu to select the level of geography, and additional menus for viewing specific provinces or regions. These menus also filter the bubble charts. The data in the Employment tab is now available for all CSDs (including those located outside of CMAs) and CTs. New indicators have been added to the Income tab, including low income and income groups. General improvements to some charts and to the dashboard’s layout and usability.
