Profiles at custom geographies
Census and NHS Profiles are now available at custom geographies. To download Profiles at custom geographies, select CG (for custom geography) on the product page of the Census and NHS Profiles.
Note that custom geographies for Winnipeg, BC Stats, and UBC HELP are not yet available. Stay tuned for updates.
Profiles by place of work
New for the 2012-2017 cycle of the Community Data Program, we've ordered Census and NHS Profiles by place of work (instead of the usual place of residence). What does this mean? You can now calculate the mode of transport, income, or any other variable, by the location of a person's workplace rather than their home. Of course, it includes only those with a fixed workplace.
The Census and NHS variables are technically listed together. So regardless of whether you download these tables from the NHS Profile page or the Census Profile page, you'll get both sets of variables. To download place of work tables, select either Place of work - PT CD CSD or Place of work - CMA CA CT, depending on which geographies you're looking for.
Note that place of work data at the DA level is only available for tracted areas.
