Description: The current report presents environmental indicators for water quality, air quality, and greenhouse gas emissions. The indicator for water quality reports on the status of surface water at select monitoring sites across Canada. The air indicator reports on national and regional trends in ground-level ozone, a key component of smog. The indicator for greenhouse gas describes the trend in emissions and how the trend is affected by energy production, energy consumption, and other factors.
