TransUnion Credit Report Characteristics
The following files provide sample credit report characteristics from Q4 2008 and Q1 2011 for communities across Canada down to the 6-digit postal code level. Thanks to Louisa Wong of Hamilton for compiling and cutting up the original data files by geographic region:
A brief explanation of the variables:
Bankruptcy Score
Range = 010 to 999
Rates the probability that a consumer will go bankrupt within the next 18 months. Low scores mean a higher chance of going bankrupt.
Risk Score
Range = 299 to 884
Rates the probability that a consumer will go 90+ days overdue on a payment within the next 12 months.
Alltradestotbalamt
The total balance reported of all trades on the credit file. So as an example this would capture the balance outstanding of a credit cards, loans, auto loans etc.. as reported for each consumer credit file.
NB: the 'Count' variable would be used to aggregate the data above the level of postal code. 'AllConsumerQty' includes client records that do not have enough information to create a score.

Odds Charts
TransUnion Risk Score - Odds Charts.xlsTransUnion Bankruptcy Score - Odds Charts.xls
These show the distribution of Risk Scores and Bankruptcy Scores and how many in each score range actually displayed a negative performance (defaulted on a payment or went bankrupt). The formulae in each cell are probably the best explanation for the column headings.
