On September 23, 2020, Statistics Canada released the Data Literacy Training Initiative. This initiative "provides a wealth of resources for those who are new to data or who have some experience with data, but may need a refresher or want to expand their knowledge".

Over the next two weeks, the Canadian Research Data Centre Network (CRDCN), in partnership with Statistics Canada, will be hosting a series of online panel discussions. Each webinar will be focusing on a different topic relating to COVID-19 research, response and data needs.

The MaRS Healthy Neighbourhoods Data Challenge is a competion, launched June 2019, in which Canadians were asked to "identify and/or create new data sets, data sources and methodologies to improve our understanding of physical environments and promote healthy living".
