Taxfiler data, or T1-derived datasets, are generated from individal tax files from the Canada Revenue Agency from the Income Statistics Division of Statistics Canada. These datasets are published on a yearly basis and are an increasingly important source of Canada-wide income data. What's included and how can we use taxfiler data?

On Wednesday January 18th at 1:30 pm Eastern time, a representative from Statistics Canada Income Division will be presenting a webinar on Taxilfer data as part of the CDP Product Profile Webinar Series. The presentation will cover:

    • What data the CDP has in its catalogue
    • Typical uses for taxfiler data
    • Methodological information on the T1FF population and geographies
    • T1FF strengths and weaknesses
    • Income inequality and working poor tables
