The Crowdsourcing Project has started in Ottawa and Gatineau! Help Statistics Canada create an open source of information by using your local knowledge of the neighbourhood in the Open Street Map tool. You and other members of the public will be able to input the location, physical attributes and other features of local buildings.
You can
- visit the map editor application and start mapping
- select buildings and provide information by filling out the form on the map editor application
- place a marker if you know about a shop, service or business at a specific location, and fill out as much of the form as you can
- map your own business
